EDF Action Congratulates Rep. Gabe Vasquez on his Win in New Mexico

EDF Action Votes spent $383,000 in support of Rep. Gabe Vasquez’s re-election

(Washington, DC – November 6, 2024) EDF Action congratulates Rep. Gabe Vasquez (NM-02) on winning re-election to the U.S. House.

“Voters sent a strong message by re-electing a climate champion like Gabe Vasquez to Congress,” said David Kieve, president of EDF Action. “Rep. Vasquez has a history of protecting the environment and looking out for all New Mexicans with an eye toward fairness and equity as his state moves into a clean energy economy. We were proud to support Vasquez in his re-election bid and embrace his leadership on bipartisan climate solutions for New Mexicans.”

EDF Action joined with Bold PAC, the campaign partner of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, to launch a $750,000 ad buy supporting Rep. Gabe Vasquez over Yvette Herrell. The ads ran in both English and Spanish.

EDF Action PAC also contributed grassroots support to mobilize climate voters in New Mexico including deploying organizers from EDF Action to help Rep. Vasquez and other federal candidates win re-election and recruiting volunteers from among EDF Action’s membership.
